MIK9’s Collar Connect Program is for those who want to enhance their connection with their dog through fair, proper, and low level e-collar usage. Because we wholeheartedly believe that the e-collar should be used as direction and not a tool used to force compliance from our dogs, in some cases we may recommend working on a foundation first before beginning the program.

Each Collar Connect Program’s syllabus is customized to each dog. Whether you’re working through reactivity, want an off leash reliable dog, need sharper impulse control skills, or simply want to continue growing and learning and training, we’ll make sure your dog’s Collar Connect Program is specifically designed to their needs.

Because we're working with animals with their own decision making and personalities, we cannot guarantee each dog will be completely off leash reliable at the end of the program. What we can guarantee is that you will have a better connection with your dog and a clearer way of communicating. Regardless of any extra areas you want us to focus on, here’s a list of a few of the skills every program will cover:

Our goal is to provide an intensive program that gives both the dog and the human a full understanding of the e-collar so you can enjoy a stronger connection with them. We have monthly Collar Connect Graduate classes where we work on all of the skills that they learned during their program together! The Graduate classes are not required but highly recommended to keep you and your dog's skills sharp!

DROP OFF PROGRAM

The Collar Connect Drop Off Program includes one day train a week for six weeks. Currently, we offer our drop off program on Tuesdays (with Millie), Wednesdays (with Jillian), or Saturdays (with Brandon). Each dog stays with the same trainer and on the same day of the week for the entirety of the program.

Drop off is between 8am-10am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and between 10am-10:30am on Saturdays. Once you’ve booked your program, your trainer will give you a specific pick up time for each day to do a mini session (20 minutes) going over what we focused on that day and to explain your homework for the week. Please arrive on time for your pick up sessions and remember, staying diligent with your homework each week is required to make progress!

Without E-Collar Included: $1350

IN PERSON PROGRAM

The Collar Connect In Person Program includes four hour long individual sessions with you and your dog and one drop off day train. We like to space each of those services out one to two weeks apart. There are no set days for the in person program but we do require that you stick with the same trainer throughout the entirety of the program. Based on what your availability is, we’ll match you with the trainer who’s schedule accommodates yours best!
